Diamond Dress

Modeled by Tanya Alvarez, this diamond laden evening dress was specially made for the launching of Powers Whiskey Irish Grand National in the Shelbourne Hotel in the plush surroundings of the revamped Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin. The diamond dress costs £2.4million (about $4million USD).

Designed by Thomas Heverin of Sligo, this diamond-studded dress was commissioned especially for the launch by Appleby’s. The dress is encrusted with 4,000 diamonds which took approximately 200 hours to sew individually by hand into the fabric of the dress.

Tanya was being accompanied by two huge bodyguards wherever she go, who kept a beady eye on her every move. When the photo shoot was over, the dress was carefully removed and taken back by armored van to Appleby Jewelers.

Kylie Minogue has launched her documentary “White Diamond”. The 39-year-young Australian singer walked with a red carpet appearance outside the Vue Cinema in Leicester Square. To complement the title, she wore a specially-made Dolce & Gabbana diamond dress. The diamond festooned cream gown was encrusted with Swarovski crystals, and £500,000 worth of diamonds.
